Ajith's much anticipated 'Asal', produced by Sivaji Films and directed by Saran, is definite for release on February 12.

The producers are setting up for a big release all over Tamil Nadu and parts of overseas, where Tamil films have a huge fan-following. At first 'Asal' was believed to hit the screens on February 5, but has been pushed back by a week.

Moreover Ajith, the film features Sameera Reddy, Bhavana and former time’s hero Suresh in the cast. Music is by Bharadwaj. According to Ajith, "Normally I wish to let the film speak for itself. Yet I have to tell you that every part including the stunts and chases in 'Asal' exemplifies the title. Everything is original and genuine."

He adds: "Sivaji Films is one of the finest companies I've worked for. I believe it's because they belong to a family of actors." Expressing his gratitude to Sivaji Films for the freedom given to him to bring out a excellence product, Saran says, "They never bothered about the budget. All they required was a slick entertainer.

The entire team of 'Asal' has worked very hard."
