Director Bala has won the Best Director award for his movie 'Naan Kadavul' at the 56th National Film Awards which were publicizes in New Delhi yestreday.
‘Naan Kadavul’ set in the pilgrimage centre of Kasi is regarding the Aghori Sanyasis. A landmark film in Tamil ‘Naan Kadavul’ was vitally well much-admired when it released last year. Bala took almost three years to make this film. The film is an edition of the Tamil novel 'Yelavathu Ulagam' by Jayamohan.
Bala was anticipated to win this award for his Pithamagan in 2004. But Vikram got the Best Actor Award.
Astoundingly, the Best Make-Up award was also bagged by 'Naan Kadavul'. We hear that Bala is pleased about winning the award and is more than happy in dedicating it to his guru Balu Mahendra.
President Pratibha Patil will give away the Awards to the winners in March this year.
