Kamal Haasan was at it over again. On Friday, the ace actor interrelated with the students of the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras, and uttered his wish to work with them to get films to the next stage.
Speaking at a meeting of students on the first day of the ‘Saarang’, an annual festival, he said: “The handshake among film industry and IIT has previously happened. And now I wish for to bring my Red One camera to work with you guys.”
“Cinema is a democratic process,” the actor said and added: “It is not like a Van Gogh work where the artist has the canvas and colors at his discarding. A number of add-ons could be created by IITians, which would create the film industry less needy on imported technology.”
In his address, filmmaker Goutham Vasudev Menon said, “Tamil films nowadays are where Hindi films were ten years ago. Producers should re-engineer themselves to knock the global market. I would like to make a 3D film on ‘Alice in Wonderland’ to take Tamil cinema to the international viewers.”
