When MOP Vaishnav College for Women principal Nirmala K Prasad plea to the music maestro to launch the course for a university for music at an interactive meeting in Chennai on Monday, he said that he had made such a proposal sometime at a function organized by the State government.

'It by some means didn’t occur so far. I expect it would be set up soon,' he said. The maestro spoke and performed for over two-and-a-half hours at the college hall. The viewers sang along with him as he performed with his favorite harmonium.
