The double Oscar winner A R Rahman's sound track for the Hollywood film 'Couples Retreat' is in the competition for Oscar Awards this year.
Announcing this to reporters at the initiate of ‘Couples Retreat’ album organized by Sare Gama in Chennai on Monday, the music composer said, "the film offered a lot of imaginative test. It was a extremely rewarding understanding to be a part of it".
A track from the album 'Nana' has set up a place in the list of Oscar entries for the year 2010. "I in fact enjoyed working for the venture as the producers and the directors were very supportive," he said.
To a question on the Congress party using his opus 'Jai Ho...' from the Oscar winning 'Slumdog Millionaire' during the Lok Sabha elections last year, Rahman said "It did not belong to them only, but to everybody."
Happy about his latest music concert in Australia, Rahman still cautioned against 'blowing it big' the incidents of attacks on Indians there and said that the country was showing 'genuine' interest in dealing with the matter.
He said his compositions for forthcoming films ‘Endhiran’, ‘Sultan The Warrior’ and ‘Raavan’ would be definitely different from each other and that of ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’, which was launched recently.
