Get prepared for ‘Kalyana samayal saadham…’ once more. ‘Maya Bazaar’, the mega hit of 1957, is all set to scorch the screens afresh, but this time with the support of newest technology, counting state-of-the-art colour addition.
Leading producer R B Chowdary has gained the release rights of the movie. He is setting up to release it in Telugu after Pongal. “Based on the function the film gets in Andhra Pradesh, we will release it in Tamil too,” he says.
Colour addition for ‘Maya Bazaar’ was made by Gold Stone Technologies with almost 165 technicians working on it. “It took six months for them to complete the venture. The end product is overwhelming,” says the producer.
On the reason behind releasing the movie yet again, Chowdary says, “Maya Bazaar is one of the vital movies of south Indian cinema. It is an evergreen movie, which would never lose its charm.”
Chowdary is at present producing ‘Kacheri Aarambam’, which has his son Jeeva in the lead role. Both ‘Maya Bazaar’ and ‘Kacheri Aarambam’ are anticipated to hit the screens concurrently.
