Superstar Rajinikanth has wished a happy New Year to his fans and the public of Tamil Nadu and prayed the enormous that the New Year brings richness to everybody.

In a statement issued in Chennai Thursday, Rajini also expressed thanks his fans who did “lots of good things” to mark his 60th birthday celebrations on December 12.

He uttered thanks to the people of Tamil Nadu, his friends in film industry, politics and the media who greeted him on the event of his 60th birthday.

In the meantime, sources have it that the Superstar, who was shooting for ‘Endhiran’ in Pune, came to Chennai on Thursday to spend the New Year day with his family members.

On way home, he also allegedly landed at Bangalore for a short while to pay accolades to his good friend and Kannada Superstar Vishnuvaradhan, who passed away on Wednesday.
