Critics have accused her of playing a damsel in pain once too often. The actress though, rubbishes this saying, “A best part of my roles are not that of a damsel in anguish. It’s a male-dominated film industry and one can not have the actresses bashing up men.”

She has also been disapproving of for not mastering Telugu yet. “People question why I still dub for my films, but movies are shot fast and the directors don’t have the comfort of time to wait for me to master the language. Though, I do speak Telugu on the sets.” Whether she has mastered Telugu or not, this Mumbai girl with Goan roots says, “Hyderabad rocks.” “Hyderabadis are actually nice and humid.” And while she has no instant plans of settling down in the city, she says, “I might consider shifting base later.”
