Gaganam is supposed to be the heading under deliberation for the Telugu description of accepted Tamil-Telugu director Radha Mohan's bilingual flick titled Payanam in Tamil. Notably, the Telugu description was previous titledWanted.

Produced by Dil Raju (Telugu version) and Prakashraj (Tamil version), the movie stars perform hero Nagarjuna and National Award winning performer Prakashraj in the guide roles. Nagarjuna plays a police executive in this flick which is his first direct Tamil movie after almost 14 years. Prakashraj plays a radical organizer.
