South Indian cinema’s favourite bad character Prakash Raj on Wednesday conventional a National Award beginning President of India Pratibha Patil intended for Priyadarshan’s ‘Kanchivaram’.
The awardees who were in attendance to get the honour included administrator Priyadarshan, administrator of `Kanchivaram'(Tamil), which won the best path award, Shankar Mahadevan, who won the unsurpassed playback male singer award as well as Shreya Ghosal, who won the paramount feminine singer award surrounded by others. The President also awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke honor to renowned lead singer Manna Dey.
