In the background of producer Danayya's costly advertising stunts to grab highest attention for his Allu Arjun starrer Varudu, the Telugu Producers' Council has imposed new limits on publicity stunts by moviemakers in print and electronic media.
According to these new rules, the creater can’t issue more than a quarter page of advertisement in newspapers. The figure of ads is also limited. The limits came into force after Kalamandir, the media associate for Varudu, issued full-page colour advertisements of Varudu in some leading newspapers. Each page commercial cost Rs. 3.5 lakhs.
Meanwhile, Gunasekhar created Varuduis releasing on March 31. A new heroine is making her debut, but her name is still to be revealed. Renowned director Singeetham Sreenivas Rao emerges in a special job. Tamil superstar Arya acts the villain.
