Even when not in shooting, it is not that easy to get a darshan of Rajini at his home. Rajini has his own method in how he spends his time off time, maybe in reading puranas, meditating, introspection etc. If not in town, he heads to the mountains.

Rajini has in use on a new task, that of a teacher, to whom else but his grandson Yatra. Not many know that Rajini can read, write and speak Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English furthermore Marathi fluently. Dhanush belongs to a Telugu verbal communication family.

The first person Rajini sees on waking is supposed to be his grandson. When he croons "emiraa" to the little one, the little boy smiles in pleasure. Grandpa Rajini must surely use up at least one hour playing with Yatra or he would feel incredible is missing. Once his grandson enters his room, Rajini is make-believe to be teaching him Telugu in addition to Marathi.
