Cameraman-turned-director Shiva's Gopichand-Trisha starrer Shankam is moving ahead at brisk pace at the beautiful locations of Sydney, said producer Bhagavan, who is making the movie jointly with Pulla Rao under the banner of Balaji Cine Media.

"We are at this time shooting some scenes as well as songs in Sydney and the movie is a mass performer with romance, accomplishment, family drama, sentiment along with comedy. Tamil actor Sathyaraj is in performance the role of Gopichand’s father," he said.

Taman is the music director. Vetri handles the camera. Also in the cast are Chandramohan, Dharmavarapu, Ali, Venu Madhav, M.S. Narayana, L.B. Sriram, Raghunatha Reddy, Sitha, Rajitha, and Sakunthal in addition to Radha Kumari. Director Siva has earlier directed Gopichand in Sowryam. This is the foremost time Gopichand teams up with Trisha.
