Simran is at present in the US, shooting for a Telugu serial and according to which, the rumor mill is, a private trip combined with a 25-day shoot in America. 

Although she is not the vital character in the serial, allegedly she has been paid Rs 2 lakh per day for her role. Previously, the actress turned down the propose to play Dhanush’s mother-in-law in the remake of Mapillai.
