Mani Ratnam is a passionate movie maker - a fact which comes from side to side in all the movies he makes. Thanks to his expedition for perfection, he has strong-willed to reshoot several portions of his Aishwarya Rai-Abhishek Bachchan starrer, Raavana, which is his, most ambitious project. The film’s cast has been asked to give a fresh batch of dates for the reshoot.

A source as of the sets of Raavana said, “only just when they saw the motion picture together, Mani sir felt that it possibly will have been much better.  He felt that Vikram, who plays the modern day Rama, was getting far extra prominence than Abhishek Bachchan, who plays the title role. After a lot of conversation by means of his team, Mani sir decided to reshoot in July for over 30 days. He has previously asked his production squad to get new dates from all the actors.”
